Post date: Oct 25, 2015 12:37:5 AM

Robin Lee Rogers, 50, of North Bergen NJ passed away suddenly on Monday October 19, 2015. He was an English Teacher for North Bergen High School for 10 years. He also was a Hudson County Democratic Committeeman from the 2nd Ward, 6th District of North Bergen.

Robin was the North Bergen High School's Senior Class Co-Moderator. He was also the Homecoming Chairperson and involved in many other Senior activities with his Co-Moderator, Ashley Gilbarty.

He was a beloved colleague and valued friend. The NBHS ELA Department, and many other faculty members, weren't only his colleagues - they were part of his family. He touched a special part of everyone's heart. In honor of Robin, the ELA Department and Senior Class made special green and orange (his favorite colors) ribbons for faculty and students to proudly wear at the 2015 Homecoming Ceremony on Friday, October 23, 2015.

Faculty and staff showed their respect and love for the legacy of Robin throughout the week, whether it be designing and signing banners, creating ribbons, and painting portraits. Katherine Gonzalez Lozano, a Senior Art Honors student, painted a portrait of Robin within half-a-day. Robin will be forever in our hearts. His true spirit will forever live on, as long as we remember. He is survived by his dearest companion Daniel Alfonso. Also survived by his brothers, Ty , James, Robert and Timothy Rogers, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
